ABOUT THE SERVICE

THE BUSES

The vehicles used on the services were new as schoolbuses, and have 55 seats, all with three point seatbelts. The service number is displayed on the front.

THE DRIVERS

Each route has its own regular driver, and own regular vehicle. Therefore everyday the same driver and vehicle will be on the school run (except on odd occasions when this may not be possible, in this instance one of two back up drivers will be driving the bus). Each driver has been on a training course and holds a current first aid certificate.

USING THE BUS

These buses only carry pass holders. To obtain a pass you need to contact Medway Council. Passengers should be at the stop five minutes before the bus is due and have BOTH parts of pass ready to show the driver on boarding the vehicle. When boarding the vehicle a register is also taken to show that you travelled on the bus. If for any reason you are not travelling on the bus that evening let the driver know so that they can make a note on the register and will not be expecting you.

SEATBELTS

Once on the vehicle all passengers must remain seated and wear their seatbelt. All seats are fitted with them

LEAVING THE VEHICLE

All passengers must leave the vehicle by the front door.

LOST PROPERTY

Any lost property find must be handed into the driver.

CCTV

The Yellow buses are fitted with CCTV for additional safety, and to identify any trouble areas and protect the vehicles from graffiti and vandalism.

EATING AND DRINKING

This is not encouraged onboard the yellow bus, and would request that passengers refrain from eating and drinking onboard the vehicles.

NO SMOKING

All Nu-Venture buses are NO SMOKING areas.
